The Houston International Origami and Arts Festival is dedicated to celebrating cultural diversity, preserving the art of origami, and providing educational and entertaining experiences for all. Through exhibitions, workshops, and performances, we foster appreciation for cultural heritage while inspiring creativity and learning.
The festival started as a dream of Kyle Fu, an origami master who has been mastering the craft for 50 years. He envisioned the festival as an opportunity for the next generation to understand the art of origami in a way all ages can enjoy. In doing so, the art of origami will be preserved for the future to come.

We will have workshop events featuring famous origami artists teaching about their approach to the art of paper folding and multiple performances that people would love to see. We also will have an exhibit where Kyle Fu and his assistants will be showing the construction of the world's largest origami dragon to achieve a world record.
